Effect of Collectotrichum spp. on yield components and grain quality of soybean
Keywords:
soybean, Colletotrichum dematium var. truncata, Colletotrichum destructivum, yield, grain qualityAbstract
Under conditions of a natural infection in field, in Corsoy variety the effect of anthracnose on the yield components and grain quality of soybean was studied. Colletotrichum dematium was found to cause a reduction in plant height, grain number per plant and grain yield by 3-6%, 9-22% and 8-23%, respectively. Colletotrichum destructivum was also found to cause plant height, grain number per plant and grain yield to reduce by 3%, 5-15% and by 8-18%, respectively in relation to the healthy plants of soybean. However, these fungi were not found to essentially exert the synthesis of raw proteins and oils in the grain.
